Fantasia Lagoon: A Hidden Water Park On Top Of A Bangkok Mall

Think there are no fun water parks in central Bangkok? Think again! Fantasia Lagoon Water Parks are surprisingly located on top of two Bangkok shopping malls; The Mall Bangkae and The Mall Bangkapi, and are probably some of Bangkok’s best-kept secrets. If you can’t get to both, not to worry, each park is practically identical to the other – and actually built on the roof of each mall! We visited the Fantasia Lagoon at The Mall Bangkapi for a wet and wild day out!

Fantasia Lagoon provides an afternoon or whole day of guaranteed fun for the family, from toddlers to teenagers, and of course for the adults too! The pools are shallow enough for small children to splash about and have fun in, whilst the large slides provide ample entertainment for the older thrill-seeking members of the family. The park itself is spilt into several different zones, suitable for children of different ages, and features large and small pools, waterfalls, whirlpools and lots of play areas to keep kids occupied. We especially loved the exciting ‘Pirate Cove’ area, complete with Pirate ship!

Fantasia Lagoon Water Park in Bangkok

Of course, for older kids and young at heart adults, the main attractions at Fantasia Lagoon are the several varieties of water slides, perfect for adrenaline junkies and thrill seekers! When all of that excitement is over and you need to relax, just grab a rubber ring, relax and float away on the Lazy River.

We found Fantasia Lagoon to be the perfect escape from the busy city life below, and you might even forget that you’re still in Bangkok – that is unless you’re brave enough to climb to the top of some of the tallest slides and take in the breathtaking views of the city. Another great thing about coming here is that it really is a bit of a secret, and you won’t find it featured in the usual travel guides. The park isn’t full of the usual crowds of tourists and is instead packed with happy Thai families enjoying a fun day out.

Overall we can’t recommend this place enough; the water park is a great place to take the kids to cool off when the Bangkok heat gets a bit too much or if you are just looking for something different at the weekends.

Entry is 80 Baht entry for kids and 100 Baht for adults, and there are extra charges if you need to rent towels, lockers, swimming caps (everyone has to wear one) and rubber rings for the Lazy River.

When you’re done splashing about, don’t forget this water park is situated on top of a mall so you can spend a few hours shopping, grabbing a bite to eat, or even catching a movie.

You’ll find Fantasy Lagoon on the top floor (level 4) of The Mall Bangkapi, situated on Ladprao Rd, but shh – it’s our secret.
